This baby was not a happy camper at all today! She was very tired from not having slept the night before, she all of the sudden has developed a serious fear of men in baseball caps, so she was terrified of my husband (who she knows, they are good friends of ours!). So the session was almost bust, until....cupcakes! This little sweetie was happy as a lark when we sat her down and gave her cupcakes and birthday cake. She didn't mind the mess, she was going to town! ♥

I took this photo right after I received my first DSLR, a Rebel T1i. I knew nothing about photography, but I am still happy with the way this photo turned out. It captured my youngest enjoying a timeless childhood past time and was the last Bluebonnet Picnic thrown by my in-laws before the passing of an uncle. I just love these initials! They are super lightweight, easy to store, and fast to paint with colors that fit the session. I think they add that final personal touch to the session! ♥

OK, it's official. I cannot think of anything I love more than spring time (except my sweet family, of course)!. The weather, the colors, the sunshine, and kiddos in bright colors just make spring time so amazingly beautiful! This is my favorite from my spring session today. This little darling just turned 4 and not only took amazing photos, but she was a super great helper with her little 11-month-old sister! It was so much fun, and I cannot wait until the little sister's one year old birthday milestone session and cake smash! Stay tuned for that session soon! ♥

Finding the Golden Light! - Keller, TX Newborn, Maternity, Child and Senior Photographer - Memories in a Flash Photography

Oh, that golden light! I was doing some scouting in Fort Worth today, and I just love this lighting. Very soon it will have spring blooms that should last all the way through to next winter! I look forward to using this beautiful light in an upcoming shoot. I am so excited that the warm weather is finally here so I can take my photography shoots outdoors a bit. I have a senior photography session coming up soon in Keller, a little late in the year, but better late than never! Be sure to check back for more from that senior session! ♥
